Meet Ray Morton, Our Founder
Ray was one of those kids you read about who grew up with a hammer in his hand. Before the age of 10, he was already following his father from job to job in the family’s construction business, learning the basics of home building and finish carpentry at dad’s side, quite literally from the ground up.
During his late teens, he began working with Energy Conservation Consultants, where he ended up serving as their certified PUD window installer for over 12 years. In his twenties he worked as a lead contractor at Sears in their Super Good Sense Program, providing window replacement and fine finish carpentry, as well as related siding, roofing, and home construction.
Finally, after more than two decades of window replacement and related construction experience, Ray wanted to start a company where his broad expertise and personal dedication to quality could shine. He founded Best Choice Home Improvements in 1993, initially offering a full range of construction services from home remodeling and additions, to siding, roofing, and window replacements—but eventually focusing on the core of his knowledge and passion: windows.
Few individuals today combine the breadth of Ray’s experience, innate knowledge, and understanding about windows—from the unique aspects of their manufacturing, to the best way to achieve a quality window installation, to the details of home construction as it relates to window replacement. Add in his hand-selected and personally trained staff, as well as his dedication to personal, on-site involvement in every window project... this is a guy who lives, loves and breathes windows.
